Limited business travel
During the containment period it was impossible for Skyepharma to receive visit from prospects and clients. However, the site visit stage is crucial in the negotiation and start-up of a new project with a CDMO. This constraint jeopardized the smooth running of projects and could therefore impact the timely delivery of drugs.
And even today, although containment has ended, business travel has been greatly reduced, if not impossible, in order to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
A team-based solution: the live virtual tour
To overcome this problem, during the containment period, we decided to propose a live virtual visit of the site to our partners. This was made by our marketing and IT team, without the help of any professional, because of the rush due to COVID-19. The IT department made sure that the WIFI network was working in all the different areas of the plant. Then, the marketing team used a touch tablet to broadcast live images from the plant to our partners who were connected through video conference. With them, our sales and technical teams guided them through all the rooms and equipment of our different operational departments.
With this proposal we demonstrated our agility to bounce back from difficulties such as the containment situation. We were able in a short period of time to propose a solution to the problem generated by the crisis that we were experiencing and to bring an adapted response to the expectations and fears of our partners.

A new digital tool
We chose to work with the Vip studio 360 provider to create our own virtual tour tool. This digital visit allows our “visitors” to walk around our factory. They can move from one room to another through 360° images created with advanced photography equipment.

- Production and packaging areas.
